Chana Chaat

This is a wholesome, yummy, healthy and high on protein snack that can be easily made at home!

Also one of the street foods from India, you can serve this with tea and even enjoy as a snack with drinks!


Chickpeas/kabuli chana, soaked overnight – 1 cup
1 small piece of Ginger
Green chili, sliced – 1-2 (add less if you are adding red chili powder)
Red onion, chopped – 1 medium
Dried mango powder/amchur – 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
1-2 tomatoes
Coriander leaves




    1. Soak Kabuli Chana or chickpeas overnight or for 4-5 hours.

    2. Pressure cook soaked Kabuli chana with water and salt for about 4-5 whistles on medium heat.

    3. Let the pressure come off.

    4. Drain excess water and keep the boiled chickpeas aside

    5. Add finely chopped onion, green chilli, ginger and tomatoes.

    6. Add salt to taste

    7. Add chilli powder if you want more spicy

    8. Add some amchoor powder or MDH Chunky Chat Masala as per the taste

    9. Drizzle some lemon juice and mix well

    10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

    A healthy snack, with zero fat is ready!
